Mr Cheal’s Honey Punch
Following the appreciative consumption of Brian’s honey punch at the Christmas Buffet he has very kindly given us the party sized recipe. Very nice enhanced with Gin or Vodka too.
3 litres Cranberry Juice
2 litres Sicilian Lemonade Juice (from the chiller cabinet at Sainsbury’s)
1litre Apple Juice
1 one pound jar of liquid honey
4 Cinnamon quills (Continental Deli Shop, Cornwall Street)
6 Cloves (do not overdo this)
Very small amount grated Nutmeg (or to taste)
Half a teaspoon Ground Ginger
2 sliced fresh oranges.
Method:
Mix all ingredients in a large stainless steel pan. Bring just to the boil with occasional stirring and immediately remove from the heat to cool. Do not over boil. Serve warm. Drink copiously and lie down immediately. It can be re-heated the next day if necessary or conscious.
